Laura once closed a 5.5 million dollar deal from a cold call, which she was really excited about because she hates making cold calls.

She also sent STAR WARS director George Lucas a 3 foot tall steel pyramid which she likes to talk about. This stunt generated about 60 million dollars for her client.

Laura has made a ton of money for OTHER people during her career and her goal now is empower individuals (especially women!) to generate a boatload of cash for themselves—without selling their souls.

Since co-founding 15SecondPitch.com in 2002, Laura has been written about in Adweek, The Financial Times, Crain’s New York Business, and The Wall Street Journal. Her website http://www.15SecondPitch.com has over 14,000 members.

Amy Cronkite is a mother, a wife, and a crafter. She runs the crafty company Make-out Goods with her high school friend; together, they create handmade sewn accessories including aprons, tote bags, pillows, and baby gear. Amy is proud to the founder of Loop!, a social crafting group that meets once a month in Metro Detroit. She has lived most of her life in Michigan, and is proud to be a part of reconstructing Detroit as a center of 21st century handcrafted culture.

Bethany Nixon is crazy in love with her business, Reware Vintage, based out of her home in Pontiac, Michigan, selling both vintage and reconstructed goods. Although she dabbles in lots of different types of crafting, she especially enjoys upsetting record collectors by cutting up vintage albums and using them in her crafts. As the organizer of the Baar Bazaar in Detroit and a member of Handmade Detroit, she is inspired to help in the creation, networking, and promotion of the Detroit craft community.

Carey Gustafson has spent a majority of her adult life as a stained glass fabricator and designer. Glass Action! is her home studio and line of weird pop culture stained glass creations. In addition to being a proud co-founder of Handmade Detroit, she performs music in Serenity Court, trails the pack as vice president and co-founder of Defying The Law Bicycle Club, throws the yearly creepfest Zombie Dance Party and is the music director for the D.I.Y Street Fair in Ferndale.
